Rover Venturer Rally (RVR)
There’s no knowing where you’re going…
…but you’ll want to get there first!
RVR bring’s Venturers from across SC&T Region to race against each other in an fun event to challenge your physical and mental ability!
RVR runs in a similar way to the Amazing Race program on television. Teams will complete challenges in order to receive clues to the next location, all the while trying to beat each other to the finish line.
For those Venturers completing their Queen’s Scout Award, RVR will also qualify as your Initiative Course.
At night we run the annual Venturer/Rover Capture the Flag event, a great night activity that has been running since 2014.
What to Bring:
Come prepared with everything you will need for an overnight camp, including a tent, in a hiking pack or similar (don’t worry, you won’t have to carry it). You will also need a daypack that contains the following items:
- Water bottle
- Snacks
- Compass
- Personal first aid kit
- Hat / Sunscreen
- Raincoat
- Headtorch
- Hike stove and cooking equipment
Food for Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast will be provided. You may want to bring your own snacks.
