Rover, n. a “mature” Homo Sapien aged 18 to 25 inclusive who is dedicated to fun and adventure, whilst serving the community in the Scouting way.
Rovers is the section of the Scout movement open to all young men and women aged between 18 and 25 years. Anyone can become a Rover – there’s no need to have had any previous involvement with Scouting, or any prior outdoor activities experience.
A local group of Rovers is known as a “Unit”, and each Unit is different, tailoring its activities to the requirements of its members. Units vary in size from a handful of members to thirty or more. Most Rover Units meet weekly on a Wednesday, with the occasional special event on the weekend.
The friends you make within this group will be lifelong!
